If you’ve met the Tonnu family, you’ve met the cutest family around. It made for one of the most wonderful sessions, and the photos that came from it were just gorgeous. We loved the color palette for this shoot; everything matched beautifully between the family and the landscape. We love planning out wardrobe colors and locations way ahead of time with my clients, it gives the shoot a wonderful consistency across the board. The Tonnu family had on a very pretty (and handsome) array of style that all worked together, and gave the whole shoot a nice flow, foreground to background.
It was such a joy capturing their inspiring family dynamic. Seeing how this growing family operates and connects with each other warmed our hearts, and we adored seeing the deep love Mr. and Mrs. had for their lovely children, born and unborn. It’s one of our many privileges to work with children, and the Tonnu’s little girl was so happy and easygoing; she made the whole shoot very smooth. And of course, the littlest Tonnu makes up the cutest baby bump, and the Mrs. was beaming the whole session through. The most special moments we were able to capture were those intimate moments between a mother and her daughter in the photos below. Those are the moments where photography is at its best.
That’s what these family sessions are all about. Capturing those moments that often slip by unnoticed, those normal and everyday interactions that you forget over time. Photography is not only a time machine that takes you back to a moment, but it’s a floodgate that opens up a torrent of memories and emotions that you would never have remembered if you couldn’t hold it in your hands. Life is busy, and you’re not to blame for letting time slip past you. All it means is that one of the most important things you can do to slow down and enjoy your family the most, is take as many pictures as you can. Getting professional photos done not only takes the burden entirely off of your shoulders, but it ensures that your memories become art pieces, not just kitschy memorabilia.
