It really does take two to have fun when it comes to capturing some fun and dynamic couples portraits.  When Kristen contacted me through email, I pretty much squealed like a kid in a candy store when she shared details about what she was looking for in her couples session. She mentioned she wanted something simple, incorporating the beach atmosphere as well as capturing on film a good representation of who her and her husband to be (Marc) really are.  She explained to me that they are just an all around fun couple who enjoy a bit of laughter and romance. So you could only imagine that after months of creating a visionary shoot in my head of the beach and tandem bikes…. my photography prayers were answered! I told Kristen my plan of action for her couples session and she immediately loved the idea.  Their session started at the crack of dawn over on the Jacksonville Beach pier, which by the way was a bit chilly that day, Florida weather.. what did ya know! Then, we headed over to Atlantic Beach for fun on the tandem bikes and after taking a random turn we happened upon the cutest little beach house with lime green shutters and aqua door that complimented their outfits perfectly.. HELLO styling made easy. Towards the end of their session we crashed a local coffee shop for some lifestyle images incorporating things they both love and share together, like coffee. Kristen is originally from NC, and Marc attended school there so that’s where their love story begins roughly 8 years ago. They both moved to south Florida for Marc’s school and a year later ended up here in Jacksonville enjoying the beach and their continuing love for one another. Marc enjoys surfing while I hear that Kristen is quite the beach and coffee enthusiast ;) Crazy enough after talking to Kristen during her consultation, she we found out that she worked in the same location as my husband did in south Florida at one point, small world! Their wedding is set to take place in the picturesque Amelia Island in October, and while I won’t be there wedding photographer, I certainly am so blessed to have been able to meet them and help them create such gorge memories they will be able to hold dear to their hearts. Congrats on your upcoming nuptials I wish you both to remain in the happy, loving place that is depicted through these images for the rest of your lives.

WARNING: post is image heavy ;)
