As a person who was not blessed in the “pantene commercial” style hair dept, I had to have told mom and daughter how amazing their hair was about 10 times. It was shiny, thick, long and just lustrous. Literally like they both just walked off the set. Talk about good hair genes! But I will go ahead and stop the obsession and say this isn’t so much about hair as it’s all about the celebration of mother and daughter. As I plan for my next few months of sessions, I can not believe that I will be seeing two beautiful girls again in less than two months -this time with dad, so I’m very excited about that. This session was shot in this very same month last year and I’ve got to say that it was indeed much more humid back then, this year the heat is definitely more intense. But I remember them being troopers while we battled the bugs (lot’s of bugs!). Looking at these images you wouldn’t even believe the hot mess that we were… and by hot mess I mean me screaming and wiggling around after every press of the shutter. But don’t they just look so peaceful and in the moment? Mom came to me with a *specific pose that she wanted from Pinterest, and not only did we nail it in our own way, we gained so many more special surprises out of the whole session. The location, the wardrobe (mom’s dress was from anthro), it was all the perfect stage for mom and daughter to play and bask in the sun during golden hour. One of my favorites. What a loving mama you are Natalie, and what a sweet, sweet girl little L is….I can’t wait for the next one!
