Locations can’t get much more natural than the beach, and the sound of the ocean waves as our background music added to the serene setting where we held Ivy and Raul couples portrait session over specifically in Ponte Vedra Beach. Ivy contacted me hoping that I could help her capture some of the elements they missed for their wedding day over on Jeckyl Island. It rained on her special day so her and Raul didn’t get the opportunity to take advantage of having wedding photos done on their beach backdrop. So we did our best to recreate the magic between them on a beach location for their couples shoot. I have to say that photographing them was like witnessing their courtship (even though I didn’t know them at that time). Love was just present in every sense of the way. The end of their session has to be one of my favorite parts. I looked at Ivy and Raul and said them “want to get in the water?” With the look on their poor faces, you would have thought I asked them to swim with the sharks…lol! But she quickly understood what I meant when I directed her through what I wanted to see in them and was all for it! Take a look at the video on the end for the result of what we got ourselves into. Disclaimer: I am not videographer by any stretch of the imagination, and I don’t do this for every session -especially when I’m running after little ones, but our water splashing fun segment at the end is just something that I’m glad we got to record!
