Let’s see what you can create with $20 in your pocket!
The 2015 Thrift Shop challenge is open to photographers of all levels of experience. Feel free to invite your photography friends so they can join in too! This challenge project has been set up so that we can do something fun together, connect, network and be creative during this slower season.
So what is the Thrift Shop Challenge?
You will create any shoot (can be themed or styled) using only 20 bucks! This can be anything from paper, vintage goods, clothing, or anything handcrafted. The basis of this session is to think outside of the box and push your creativity so spending over the suggested amount or using anything you already own will disqualify you from participation from the challenge. ( obviously we will not be checking receipts or spying on you so we are all relying on a girls scouts promise of sorts).
Once the challenge is completed, we will then create a blog circle on March 9th linking to each others creative sessions, I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with!!
An overview of the steps to participate:
1. Create a shoot consisting of items purchased under $20
2. Document any behind the scenes, this can be photos of sneak peeks, videos of your shopping adventures, mood board planning. If you are using instagram be sure to hashtag #2015thriftshopchallenge
3. On March 9th you will blog your creative session and link to your fellow thrift shop challengers!
