This sweet family traveled over 48 miles to come shoot with me and I’m so glad they did! It was such a pleasure to work with them and photograph their family. While I avoid using props in my photos for purposes of distractions and more of a focus on emotion and the people, occasionally I’ll slip something in or tell my families to find an item that will help tell their story. In this case mama listed on her questionnaire that she loved being outside with her family and that they LOVED ice cream. Little did she know I would show up with some yummy sorbet and cones for them to share. It made the session more “them” with small details that were meaningful.
