You won’t see this sort of happiness just walking down the street. The Ramos’ have a joy about them that’s incredibly infectious, and it made our day! The location was Mayfield Park in Austin, TX, and boy, is it a gorgeous area. The outfits that the Ramos’ wore to the shoot were perfect, and the spring colors of the park complimented them perfectly. The lavender maternity dress was from our style closet, and it fit our mama to be beautifully. We spent some time in front of the white rose trellis, and found some matching colors in the wisteria, to go with the her lovely dress. Our favorites from the day, though, were the ones with the whole family – mom, dad, and their precious little, who arrived in May. The three of them made this into one of our favorite maternity sessions!
We love working with such wonderful people, whether in front of the lens or behind it. In this case, we had an incredible artist handle the makeup: Katie Artale Astora, the owner of Modern Muse Beauty. She did a gorgeous job, and we couldn’t have gotten the same quality in our photos without her. We love the atmosphere of the shoot, where this lovely new momma was the centerpiece. We made great use of the park, with its stone archways, pond, and wonderful garden, and the Ramos’ looked truly at home there, arm in arm. You can feel their excitement just from looking at their session, and you can see their joy beaming through those smiles.
We love maternity sessions, as they’re a celebration of new life, and an honoring of what it means to be a family. There’s a beautiful bond in the Ramos family, and it was great getting to know such a wonderful pair of people. Their love is something inspiring to us, and we all had a fun time in their session!
