Sisterly love can one of the most enchanting relationships between siblings. Sharing secrets, trading clothing, and nurturing when the other is feeling blue. It is literally a best friend match made in heaven.  What did I love about this session? Just about everything! It was an overcast humid day, mom, dad and I were are all melting while the girls just got lost in imaginative play. We had a lot fun watching the girls play pretend. I must admit though, working with almost 2 year old’s can be thee toughest age to photograph in my opinion. For this very reason, I always make sure to let mom and dad know that it’s okay for them to go crazy and just be themselves. I do keep a conscience eye open as to what types of images mom and dad will need as well as surprise keepers they weren’t even expecting to see. But the point is to capture who they are. Sometimes parents can leave a session wondering if any good shots have been taken. The answer is always revealed during the viewing =) and without fail parents are so shocked so see how much I have been able to capture amongst what it may seem like chaos. In addition, I think preparation is key before the shoot. I do a lot of hand holding to ensure that parents understand the process. We had a great time and before even getting in our cars mom booked the next one! No pressure there.. ;)

I feel like it’s been forever that I wanted to create a teepee session and I finally got the chance to have my hand at it. We started off with a little bit of play and worked our way into stories and snuggles with mom and dad. By the end of the session, the sun just began peeking over the trees giving us our final bit of warm light.  Thank you Marsha and John, for allowing me to capture the very 2 pieces that make up your entire world, thank you for opening your home to me, you are amazing parents and I feel honored to be a part of the experience in your family unit. Without further ado….
