Its not often that I get to offer Birth Sessions, but when I get the chance I am grateful for the experience and equally as anxious as the parents to be.  But even being “grateful” takes on a whole new meaning when I have already followed a particular family through documenting other special moments such as an engagement or wedding.  I feel so honored and blessed to continue to be chosen and trusted to capture what could be said for some “Thee most important day of their lives” .  Some times we encounter some unexpected changes in the planning or later on before the actual delivery like, early arrivals, late arrivals, c-sections…..the list could go on. But what awaits her at the end of this long  journey is what is most important. More often than not, when this special moment happens….  The physical portion she must endure almost becomes like a forgotten stage in the birthing process. Then shortly after an elated high… it comes back.  But as memories, and as an experience beyond comprehension.  After this she is never the same.. and if she has been through this before she gets even better, wiser and stronger.

I keep my birth sessions as private as possible and sometimes moms are willing to share their journey. Those I will post here on the blog, but the others remain an intimate keepsake for mom and dad.
