Are you ready for our NEW once a month series Top 10 on Tuesday? Well it’s about to happen… right now! Now I know it’s a little late to be posting this list but I still think you should have it, in fact pin it if you love it as much as I do ;)
1.JCrew– I’m no surfer and I don’t really get sunburned, but despite the title of the shirt.. this rash gaurd is pretty freakin cute! A must for all photographers shooting under or around water!
2. 500 Days of Summer– If you haven’t seen this movie, order it right now from Netflix or your nearest movie rental shop. Spoiler alert, it’s not about actual “summer” but of a girl named summer. However, this quirky backwards love story is just the perfect dose of inspiration a photographer may need. The lighting in this movie is TDF!
3. Baby Lips– I’ve got to say, I’m not a huge fan of tinted chapstick, because basically that’s what this is. I’m the kind of girl that if I need to use chapstick it needs to be of the medicated kind (eww that’s sounds pretty gross, I promise I don’t get that chappy) but anyway I’m in it for it to do the job not look pretty, that’s what lip gloss is for right? Baby lips is pretty awesome. It does soften and moisturize all day for me as well as give my lips a little color pick me up. A must have in every photographers bag!
4. Tory Burch– Would these not be cute for shooting a session in style? A step up from flip flops…. I mean common people we are professionals here we deserve to look cute (when we aren’t barreling through the mud chasing after kids and trying not to get bit by snakes ;)
5. Maybelline Mega Lash– So I reached out to some of my favorite photographer friends, because I had this problem. A raccoon eye and clunky mascara problem from peeping my eye through the viewfinder. So this was one of their recommendations. I give it an A++. If you feel like your make-up is melting away for your summer shoot. It’s not. You will still have on this mascara.
6. Epiphanie They say it’s like the Mary Poppins bag for the photographer, I have yet to find out, but I really.. really love this color! What’s your favorite bag? Put them in the comments down below!
7. Love is the Killer App– I listened to the audio version of this book last summer and all I can say it’s that you need to read it.. or wait?.. listen to it.. whatever you get the point. This actually made me want to read more and share more of what I know to help others. And I must add that it was quite entertaining and felt like it was a blast from the 70’s in all it’s cool cat ways.
8. Burts Bees– On these hot summer days in Florida these are my go to.
9. Aladdin Tumbler– Chill your drink in one of these while you deliver your clients goodies or go shopping for props. Super cute!
10. Olympus TG610– For those of us who don’t shoot underwater enough to justify a $1600 housing unit for our cameras or rather not rely on saving the life of our phones when the life proof case has failed. I present to you the Olympus TG610. One of the more cheaper options in underwater cameras but still a pretty good contender. Take it to the water park, on your scuba trip, or shoot in the rain. This camera fits any adventure involving water!
